1. If you see one movie next summer, see Star Wars. If you see two movies next summer, see Star Wars and War of The Worlds. :whistle 631886 Overrated movie. Stars Wars prequels that is. Not anywhere close to the originals and adds nothing of use to the original story. 633812 How is Episode 3? 633902 I'm sure its about as bad as the first two prequels.

I dont like it. I liked it better how it was before, those buttons could use more teal(or use the whites that had teal outline those were nice), and the team column at the left looks messy, and also theres some space the right thats just empty is just black(i use firefox maybe thats the problem) I do like how you made it into a portal of sorts, and the black banner looks good. 633701 Agreed. The Banner looks nice but the Teal Column on the left looks messy. Also maybe you should use your old Buttons but with a different color. But the Site doesnt look that bad at all, just some stuff that need to be fix. **I see your using CSS now. Going more modern, awesome 633737 Does your cheap knockoff site still exist?
5. this isn't a political debate thread. we are busy planning the invasion of canada by members on the board. 575374 and the invasion of canada is one of the most ill concieved notions i have heard this year.
6. IMO, the short story is that it starts when a civilization is young, & over time religion may change in name, shape, meaning, etc, but it's never completely discarded. My feeling is that religion (of some sort) is part of the natural progression of a civilization. People in ancient cultures struggled to explain their existence and the world around them, and so developed complex religious ideologies most often based in mythology. It's why you see that most ancient civilizations created their own group of gods (Greeks, Romans, Babylonians, Sumerians, Egyptians, Mayans, Aztecs, Incas, etc), complete with the concept of an afterlife and people designated as having the ability to communicate with these deities. Most of these were polytheistic, with specific environmental events like rain and wind believed to be the result of the will of an individual god. I think this is a very excellent point. Name one successful civilization minus religion and you will be thinking for a long time. Churches often have ways of messing things up and altering why religion exists over time. People want to worship in these grand buildings and kiss rings, etc (especially Catholicism) when you can accomplish the same task under a tree.
7. still the roman empire was an imperalistic nation.? and they ultimately failed.? while they did not fail at the peak of their imperalistic times, they still ultimately lead to failure.? While Rome did not fail under the governing powers of the Caesars, when they were truly an imperalistic nation, toward the end of their existence they ceased to be the same power they were.? Another example would be England, under the crown system they ultimately fail, while the civilization remains, its under a different form than during the imperalistic days.? Which brings back the point, no imperalistic nation has survived in the same form as during their imperalistic high. 575309 Nothing survives forever, you idiot. 575313 Which proves my point idiot.
8. There are few things in this world that is irrefutable using the laws of logic and proofs. Religion is definitely not one of those irrefutable existences. Gravity is irrefutable. Religion is not.

10. i can say that the existance of a supreme being is pretty much obvious. 575243 how is it obvious? again why religion? why do so many put their lives in the hands of a being they believe is higher up than they are and will ultimately lead them to their promised land. why not put faith in the Earth, like many native societies?
11. Why wage war on other nations, except for imperalistic gain.? Every imperalistic nation has ultimately failed.? For that matter just about every civilization since the dawn of mankind has eventually crumbled.? One could argue that the United States is teetering on the edge of beginning that downward spiral into ruin. 575202 So the Roman Empire was a failure? 575265 At its greatest the Roman Empire was far from a failure. However, the Roman civilization ultimately crumbled, although not to the extent of some other civilizations, but still the civilization ultimately crumbled. Therefore, in the end the Roman Empire became a failure as any fallen empire or civilization would be considered.

13. Why do we even have religion? Furthermore, what is the point of religion? Why do we believe what we do? What makes us do what we do, do we believe that we will reach salvation someday? Or is religion simply a crutch to contain the masses. An instrument to keep the masses in line. An instrument to keep the masses from running into anarchy? A device to enact some form of control on the masses? Your thoughts on why religion.
