  1. Here in Chicago there's a big rumor floating around between the Cubs and Marlins. Any of you guys hear this: Cubs Aquire: Juan Pierre and prospect Marlins Aquire: Glendon Rusch (LHP), Corey Patterson, Cubs top prospect Felix Pie. I haven't heard that. Cubs would never trade Patterson and Pie. They're practically desperate just to get rid of Patterson. He's not going to succeed in Chicago with all that he's been thru. Could turn out similar to Kyle Farnsowrth, not succedding in Chicago while thriving someplase else, becuase Patterson still has a lot of potential. They're not reluctant to rid Felix Pie though. He's real good, but they're under a lot of pressure to succeed not only becuase they've faild over the last 2 years with arguably 2 of the better NL teams, but also becuase thier crosstown rival White Sox just won the World Series.
