  1. Although Gaby Sanchez is a good baseball player.... I believe he is a little overrated for a player this early in his Professional Career.... Here's why. Many people are soon to forget this player's suspension from the University of Miami for a positive Steriod test failure.... could have even been a higher pick had he been eligible to play his junior year. Secondly Where is he going to play in the big leagues? He's slow... has a below average arm.... has average to below power... and does not work hard on his fielding at all. As a catcher.... from watching the few games he has attempted the position, He is very overmatched by anything with movement. Granted catching is one of the hardest positions to master if not the hardest. Furthermore, this was his first full season and he couldnt even play in half the games due to injury. (74) Do you really think that if they were both healthy, you would start him over Stokes??? come on! Im not nocking this guy with excellent potential, I just wouldnt put him in the big leagues just yet. (.317 in GBO, .182 in FSL) I am a huge fan of baseball and i pay attention to detail in everygame I watch... Have been following the Marlins for 7 years now in the minors. Gaby needs to work on conditioning, his arm, and power production in parks other than The homer hopper dome in Greensboro.(14 home runs GBO, 1 JUP) On the other hand here are a handful of other players who are easily overlooked by those people who only use Baseball America (Completely biased to draft status... not production) as their source of minor league news. As opposed to Draft Status and Projectability.... which is never a certain.
  2. Any news on who else will be playing WinterBall in tha Caribean leagues. Kool-Aid should also play somewhere Chris Mobley, Chris Young, Nic Ungs, and Gabby Hernandez are playing in the Puerto Rican League.
