I picked up both versions today for PS3. I gotta say i was pretty disappointed with 2K8 though... the graphics are not as good as last year and there are also MANY framerate issues when fielding the ball. The hitting was a little bit smoother and the power meter on throws was alright. I think the pitching will become pretty exciting in time but i was just frusterated with it initially cause its hard to get used to. IGN doesn't have a review up but it got a 7.2/10 rating... which is about what they gave 2K7. Still haven't looked into the modes of the game though there's like 90 minor league teams and 15 authentic MILB stadiums 08 the show was definitely the better of the two the graphics were very impressive and the gameplay for the most part was smooth as ever... they added a lot of new player animations too didn't get into road to the show mode yet just played an exhibition game PS3 owners I definitely recommend 08 The Show.... MLB 2K8 still has a fair share of problems to work out Yea. I saw that review. I thought it was going to go badly for 2K8 when ' The Show' got the editors choice.. At that point you knew their score wasn't going to be as good. But a 6.5 for graphics and major frame rate issues? That's inexusable for a big time 360 release. Lotta good those franchise rights did em.

I was able to get 'The Show' from Best Buy today. 2K8 still wasn't on the shelf.. The Show 08 is phenomenal! The player creation features are the best I've seen in a sports game. My guy looks exactly like me!

MLB 08 The Show was reviewed yesterday and recieved an 8.7/10 per IGN. Link and if you're getting 2K8... purchase early to get a free Jose Reyes bobblehead That's an awesome score coming from IGN for a sports game. I'll have the game tomorrow, I'll give you guys a report.

How many people are going to buy MLB 2k8 this year... I think its Reyes on the cover?? No way, I won't buy it cause I have a PS3 and MLB 08: The show looks way better.....2K is way to arcady...Season mode is way better in The Show....The new features they added this year just outshines 2K.....18 different pitches you can throw.....hot and cold streak hitting...Awesome stuff.

What is your favorite baseball videogame ever? I still love old school nintendo baseball!!! But in recent history I've been digging the MLB series especially since they aren't going to make MVP anymore. MLB 07 was great and if 08 can out do it, it should be one of the best ever IMHO... 2k is getting stale and MLB puts cool new sh*t in every year. Like the 'road to the show feature' which is unique and original and the batting system they are putting in that allows for streak hitting... Anyway nintendo all-time...but hopefully MLB 08 will live up to the hype.....
