Well I think Marlins love playing the Nats because right now we've had luck beating them. But even our announcers admit that it's the best the manager can do with the players he's been given. I mean, it's just a bad combination right now. Probably going to be a lot of trades by the break, no?
No the hitters are pretty good with Guzman, Nick Johnson Zimmerman, Dunn, Willingham and now they found a CF in Nyjer Morgan. The Nationals main problem is that there pitching staff and bullpen is terrible and it ha been for years now, even with Strasburg there not going to get better until they start either just drafting quality arms and hope they pan out or get some good Major League ready pitchers.
The starting pitching has really settled down over the past several weeks once they brought up the young guys from the farm. Jordan Zimmermann and Craig Stammen are doing well, and John Lannan is, as well. Time will tell with Scott Olsen. He had a good game against the Marlins the other day. It's the Nats bullpen that is just killing them. Another problem is the team's inability to score after the 5th inning or to get hits with runners in scoring position.
