I kind of agree, it is the worst identity in the history of baseball....maybe not hands down

so black and orange because that is what the focus groups showed us the trendy colors..... the multicolor so it matches the whole approach of the divided sections so you know what your eating, the artsy logo thast looks like a cruise ship.... no personality, only designed to sell

I guess it just seems like Miami teams dont care about the Miami fans. Thats what makes me so sad. They only care about attracting the other people. I know that there are lots of people from other areas that move down there, and the teams depend on the other teams fans to fill the stadium, but you just dont have to be so blatant about it. At least when Texas put it on their jersey, they did it for the people in Texas to be proud. The Miami was put on to stick it to everyone and get tourist dollars.

I think it will never be excepted and changed very quickly..... If people dont buy it, it will be changed. This is not going to be there logo for long. No one is going to buy this except for true die hard marlins fans, and even many people I know that are wont buy them. If it doesnt sell they will change it.

Its the too touristy feel of the logo. The jerseys are cool.

im with you.... the jerseys are simple and crisp. They look like a baseball team.... The logo looks like something that you would buy in a souvenir shop on your way out of town at the airport

If the jerseys said Marlins not Miami, and the logo was different, than it would be okay. The multicolored M is too much.

Something that so many of us wanted for so long. I am praying that these are all wrong or made up logos. But I dont think so. If so, then they did what they wanted, they created something unique and different and new. That is the problem, new and different does not mean better. It just means new. These uniforms remind me of clear pepsi that came out a few years ago. Lets be different just to be different. We just want publicity. So they take a northeasterner and let him create his "vision" of what Miami is. It represents what people all over the country and the world think Miami is. They think its an artsy, funky, beach city where south beach is the hub. Like Lebron James said, I am taking my talents to south beach. Thats what the rest of the world thinks of Miami. Thats all well and good, but Miami is not south beach, it is not a resort. It is a city filled with hard working people, that live normal lives away from art deco. It is families with kids and little league just like every other town in America. Yes, there is south beach. It is a place in Miami. But that doesnt mean that your baseball team has to represent that one aspect. Most teams choose something to represent their team that is a source of pride for their city. For instance the Phillies with the bell. Even Miami being called the Marlins, represents something very prideful about the community. But, this color scheme, the logo and the blatant marketing of Miami is too much. Your making the team and the stadium a tourist destination. That is what is insulting to me.

I guess they wanted to be different. But, there is already another team with the location team on its home jersey(Rangers). Oh well....

I guess the sad thing is the logo. I mean the uniforms, are childish, but its the logo that kills it from the beginning. No personality, no feeling, not even a good design perspective. Its like a logo and uniform for a movie or fast food restaurant. Like Megamind or something. The uniforms actually match it. I guess I shouldnt care so much, but I look forward every year to seeing the clothes they make for my team, but now I wont buy anything. I think they just tried to do too much. All they needed was a plain M, or change the logo. I get the rebranding and relaunching and thats a good idea. But, why make such a controversial polarizing logo. To make a splash I guess. But thats the whole thing. Stop making it about the uniforms, or the stadium fish tank. Just make it look like a professional baseball team, not the softball team for Carnival Cruise Lines

Sadly, very sadly, worst uniforms in baseball. Propably top five worst uniforms of all time. Maybe the original Rays, the late 90s Angels are worse.....I think its kind of insulting

They look like a minor league team. And there is a reason why most mlb baseball jerseys and logos look similar. They look professional, and respectful. These look way minor league and unprofessional. Even the Padres came out with new uniforms earlier today, and they look way better. Plain navy blue and white. Yes, the Tigers and Yankees do the same color combo, but it looks professional. The Marlins dont look "gay" or rainbowey IMO. They look they were designed for children to want to buy them, or for tourists.

I had the two previous jerseys.. I bought them first day, I got the authentic ones that were like 150..... I wont buy this one. It is just a matter of opinion and everyone has their own. I am not going to post anymore about it.

I do, and I guess that what makes me sad about the uniform and the stadium. I know its a business. You just dont have to be so blatant about. Same with the Brewers. Its obvious that they are trying to sell"Miami" the colors. the fish tank, the sculpture, the art. But, it just seems like the people from Miami are already sold on Miami. So who are you trying to sell it to? The true fans are going to go no matter what. They are trying to attract the people who arent fans. reminiscent of the dolphins gator day in a lot of ways. Except that was one day. This is for at least a year.

I guess we will find out soon.......I am hoping it is not what has been posted. I dont understand the super-futuristic-yet tropical thing.
