  1. I think this team is closer to unloading players than they are acquiring players. I think after all these years the talent deficiency is becoming obvious, and the only way they are going to get it is to trade for it. I also don't think you can win with the current core of players. Hanley Ramirez has disappointingly not morphed into one of the league's best players and I would seriously consider trading him. This is so true. This team is pretty darn close to becoming sellers BEFORE the All-Star break. I had doubts and wondered if this team was going to be out of contention before or on the All-Star break.. I'm so glad we didn't even try for Fielder (don't even say we were never going to get him.. no one knows), lost out to the pitiful A's for Cespedes, the Nats wiping our slates clean for Gio. All those turned out to be good moves for those teams. Even Cespedes is hitting decently with some pop. Granted yes he's not killing the ball, but take a look at our catcher, 1B, and LF.. neither are they!! People like to talk about our GREAT May's and how it all goes downhill from there. Take a look at MLB in general. Pitching ALWAYS lags behind hitting. So while we do have pretty good May's its not because of our hitting (which should be pretty darn good if you want this team to have a chance), its because of some luck, which all teams have to have, and piching that is just above the curve. When the Fish come out in May and start scoring 6+ runs per game then we can all say they had a AWESOME May! But when your team comes out barely getting 5 hits a night and if not for some mental mistakes (mistakes that a team/player wouldn't make in Aug/Sept) that we hapen to win 2-1, or 1-0 then all I can say is this team is in for a rude wake-up call come June/July. Right now we have a top of the order that can't string together hits. I know you can look at their stats and see they are going 2-4 every night, btu that doesn't count. You got Reyes who will get a hit in the first, then we go down 1-2-3... Come the third, Reyes is a quick out, so is Hanley but Stanton smokes it, and so on and so on. A good team can mesh and put together good innings, but a team like this.. WoW!! Its almost as if they aren't watching the game. You got a runner on third and 1 out so what do they do... Try to play HR derby and end up striking out. Its almost as if they haven't a clue who is on base, how many outs, or even who is pitching. They walk around clueless!! But sorry for the longwinded 1st post but I had to get this off my chest. Living where I live there are no Marlins fans, only Cubs/Cards/Sox fans.
