The new Carolina Sports Network that is being started by Time Warner Cable and the Charlotte Bobcats will carry Carolina Mudcats baseball among many minor league teams after it launches in October.

 

Hopefully it will be available on the Sports packs and blackout free so you can see the soon to be Marlins play.

back when i was in central florida i couldnt get the Fish even with the MLB Xtra Inning package through time warner.

 

i was interested in what ways could someone in central fla get to watch the games incase i ever go back to visit for a month or two.

Southern League reaches historic cable TV deal

In what is billed as the only cable television setup of its kind in Minor League Baseball, the CSS regional network will broadcast 10 consecutive Saturday games this season.

Called "The Southern League Game of The Week," Atlanta-based CSS (Comcast Sports South/Charter Sports South) will feature all of the league's 10 members, starting with a June 26 contest between last year's champions, the Carolina Mudcats and the Jacksonville Suns.

 

The Southern League includes four Alabama-based teams, including the Birmingham Barons, with others in Mobile, Huntsville and Montgomery.

 

CSS, a partnership of Comcast Corp. and Charter Communications, is a 24-hour regional cable sports network with four million subscribers across 11 Southern states.

Time Warner/Bright House/DirecTV/(and rumored) Dish Network must blackout local teams in those packages. They must make deals with the team's tv partner in order to show games in market.

the dish companies air 95 Marlins games via FSN Florida anywhere in the state of Florida. the 55 pax games are only on in miami (pax 35), palm beach (pax 67) and cox sports tv of gainesville/ocala

That would be cool to see some Mudcat games
