Bone to pick with WRUF in Gainesville

Featured Replies

I know they have been a Braves Radio station since the Braves moved, but I get pissed every year when I get an email from a Gator up there (that's one reason more not to go to UF) who tells me this and that they cannot get the Marlins game on the radio.

I am thinking we should start a campain.

WRUF-AM 850 is owned by the University of florida and payed for by state taxpayers, alumni, and boosters of WRUF, but they air Atlanta Braves games.

dont they get every game on tv in UF?

FSN has the games, but you have to have Cox Cable to see the other 55 and Cox doesn't service outside of the town area. Many people live out in areas that are Dish only and the radio is the only way to get the games.

I think we should try and get them to join the Marlins Raido Network, they ahve a good signal and could help increase the fan base.
