June 11, 200422 yr I dug these quotes out of some College World Series scouting reports on the players the Marlins drafted. RHP Rhett James (10-2, 3.26 with 91 strikeouts and 31 walks in 105 innings) James has command of the strike zone and can throw his slider for strikes when he wants to DH/LHP Jason Vargas (.355-5-32 and 7-6, 4.23 with 86 strikeouts and 29 walks in 104 innings) Vargas, he's the most conventional using mostly his fastball C Brad Davis (.332-4-36) Davis is a Gold Glover behind the plate Solid draft class, Florida went more towards college and we have more to go on than the past few crops.
