In the month of June, Pudge's batting average was exactly .500 and he raised his season BA from from .328 to .381 :o .

 

Whatever amount of money he was demanding during the contract negotions, he deserved it and we should have given it to him. It's really a shame we didn't give him what he wanted, i'd give up the Bats and Mudcats to keep him long term :( . If we still had him, we wouldn't be sitting here talking about our shotty bullpen or lack of run support, we would be talking about possible post season scenarios and speculating on which team we would be facing in the WS.

Ask us if he deserves it 2-3 years from now when he's hitting .250 and missing half the season with back problems.
