anyone know the story behind the jersey # changes?

Featured Replies

i think Tony Perez gave him his number after Cabs "deserved it" from last year

Yeah, Perez wears 24 like in Spring Training, etc, and said Cabs had to earn it. So he did.

Beckett used to be 61.

AJ used to be 43.

What else?

i don't know what else.

i just noticed some changes, and didn't know why..

figured you guys would know

Beckett changed because with 61 he was a .500 pitcher so he changed tring to get things going and he decided to go with Clemens #.
