Beinfest had a ten minutes closed door meeting with the team after last nights' game.

"There's seven games left on this homestand and I expect they'll play better," Beinfest continued. "The message was not one of panic. Nothing like that is going on here in this organization."

The Marlins' aren't panicking. RIGHT! Well, if not, THEY SHOULD BE!

What good does panicking do? Why should they panic? This team KNOWS it isnt playing well. It has been very inconsistent - if it isnt the pitching, it is the offense. If not the offense, it is the pitching.

Look, the fact is we are scoring 4.3 runs a game and last year we scored 4.6.

We have a better record than we did last year at this time.

We are finally going to get our starters back together and healthy.

We have struggled in just about every phase of the game.

All signs point to this team making a strong run soon and having a much better second half as things heat up. This team plays better when its back is against the wall.

No need to panic. This is a marathon, not a sprint...
