July 14, 200422 yr When a team released a player i know they keep paying him his contract, but if a team picks him up do they start paying the contract or do they make their own contract and the player gets paid by both?
July 14, 200422 yr the team that releases him will still have to pay him his contract, minus what the team that picks him up pays him. the team that picks him up will pay him the prorated minimum for the rest of the season...so like $200k for the rest of the season this year. make sense?
