I don't know if this has bee commented already, but I found it very interesting the other day as I read how ol' George wants a new stadium built in New York, so he can get more revenue. The new stadium would obviously be top end, with several luxury suites added...Apparently, the city of NY has declared that budget constraints won't allow them to invest any cash in the project, but I'm still in shock as to why and how Steinbrenner would dare suggest build a new stadium for the Yankees...I would assume that the fan base of the Yanks will/would go crazy over this, but I haven't heard anything from them.

 

 

Yankee Stadium is baseball....anyone who proposes moving the Yanks out of there should be torched, IMO.

What I've read is that Steinbrenner wants to pay for it himself.

That's insane, Yankee stadium should stay forever. But then again, maybe New York will be cursed by getting rid of the House that Ruth built. :shifty
