August 15, 200422 yr orange county was a mess this morning i lost power around 8:40 last night, and just got it back about 20 minutes ago. 2 of my windows where broken due to winds. other parts of the area people lost there home becouse of trees coming down, there was a mobile home park that looked really bad. i live 2 minutes away from the channel 6 news station, and right before the power went out there was 4-5 big explosions that accured in that area. if the winds lasted any longer, the house beside me probly would of lost its roof. it did sustain heavy damage. im still pist about losing power for that long of period though. being in a 85 degree house with no power, limited drinks, and very muggy SUCKS!!!!
August 15, 200422 yr Glad you survived.. But we are humans people and we live in the 21 century we shouldn't be shocked that we can survive things like a hurricane, ecspecially if you live in Florida! We know what they can do if one is coming leave! lol goodness.. Sorry I am just venting cause of people that stay in their homes. Basically what I am trying to say is that we shouldn't have these deaths from hurricanes, when will people learn to just leave.
