September 7, 200421 yr I read a lot of excitement about our call-ups. Their only purpose IMO is to break our position starters and pitchers in blow-outs. We won't have a decent bench big stick to help out when we need a big stick. Cordero might have been but not this late in his recovery. I don't care if it's 27 games in 30 days (I think it could be more!), I think our starters want (and can) play all the way. In fact, I think they will thrive on it. No call-up is going to lead us to the Play-Offs. Jack has to use them (mostly defensively) when we can afford to bench a Starter. Rest of the time he has to stay with the Starters that got us here (including the current pitching and bull-pen staffs.)
