A pedestrian walks next to a sign painted by motel owner Robert Baldridge on one of his boarded up windows at the Majesty's Court Motel in Daytona Beach, Fla., which he owns with his wife. The couple, from Indiana, purchased the motel in April of this year and after two hurricanes have decided they would sell if Ivan comes through central Florida. His sign is working, he has already had two inquiries about purchasing his motel, he says.

After Ivan, you won't be able to sell any businesses or homes in South Florida. Once they get a load of the insurance costs - IF some company will insure you- they'll turn tail and run.

I predict a sizeable migration out of South Florida, especially by homeowners. They just won't want to deal with their insurance premiums doubling.

I heard that some companies are going bankrupt because of the payouts from Bonnye, Charley, Frances and now, potentially, Ivan.
