TOKYO -- Roger Clemens was among eight players added to the list of major leaguers who will tour Japan in November, organizers said Wednesday.

 

Clemens, who won his 327th career game Tuesday when the Houston Astros defeated the St. Louis Cardinals, will be joined by Florida Marlins pitcher Dontrelle Willis and Baltimore Orioles shortstop Miguel Tejada for the eight-game trip Nov. 5-14.

 

Other players set to play include David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox, catcher Victor Martinez of the Cleveland Indians and pitcher Chris Reitsma of the Atlanta Braves.

 

Albert Pujols and Alfonso Soriano were among six players who previously agreed to make the trip. Moises Alou, Hank Blalock and Johnny Estrada also have agreed to play, with the rest of the 28-man roster and the manager to be announced later.

 

The tour features games in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka, Sapporo and Nagoya. The major-league stars will face an All-Star team from the Japanese leagues.

 

The major-league stars went 5-3 in their Japan tour two years ago and are 38-17 in eight previous series.

Roger should tour Japan NOW.

Maybe he can learn that pitch that was used in Mr. Baseball.
