October 2, 200421 yr Well....I just returned from yet another fish debacle frustrated as hell. It seems to me the pieces are there for a title run but that the fundamentals are not. This team cannot be matched at the top of the lineup in the league...JP and Luis are two of the best at what they do. Miguel, Lowell and Conine are solid power hitters and the bottom....well...we know how i feel about them. I'm sick and tired of these one pitch at-bats and the lack of walks. I think i saw one or two full counts the whole night. I point to the 7th inning when Madson comes in and gets our 1-2-3 hitters lickedy split as the point when i gave up hope. :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead Sorry bout that but my frustration levels are through the roof right now. I expected more from this team and besides the fact that i'm gonna lose $50 to a filthy Phillies fan, i'm hurt. I realize this team will not come back together and it sucks. A full season with this team might have brought more success...That said...my number one priority is Benitez....this pen needs him. I'm tired of the Rudy, Manzy and Perisho retreads. Mando stabilizes the back end and prevents a few Mota blowups from happening in the 9th inning. I don't like having to bite my nails and worry about the next schmuck coming out of the pen. Here's my 2005 Marlins staff SP - AJ, Josh (unless the O's want him for Bedard, Mora and Ryan), Donny, FA and.....Ben Howard (kid's got good enough stuff for a 5th starter) RP - Mando, Mota, Koch, Spoon, Perisho (i guess we need a lefty), Bump ( :mad Seanez (Only in mopup)....NO MANZY I don't want to see Mordecai back next year and I don't want to see us overpay for Easley who has blinded us with a few good outings. I want to see more lenny harris next year and more Aguila and I want to see Wilson up with the team. J-Will at 1B or backing up Duke. My Lineup for 2005 JP, Luis, Duke, Cabs (at 3b), Conine, J-Will, Harris/Aguila, Wilson, Pitcher I'm not expecting Lowell back and i'm hoping we deal Encarnacion for a barrel of balls. Offseason Priorities for me are signing Duke, Benitez and Lowell....then we need a 5th starter and another pen arm and sign me up for next season. What annoys me even more is i gotta go back tomorrow and sunday and watch this team which right now is borderline unwatchable. I love the Fish to death but their killin me right now. Thanks for your time

October 2, 200421 yr Ugh I was expecting big things this years and 2005 doesnt look very promising at this point
October 3, 200421 yr A lot of Fish fans there tonight....good to see....sat in a section with about 5 or 6 of them in the 400 level behind home plate. Good to see the win and good to see good play. Congrats to Miggy and JP and let's hope for a win tomorrow.
