October 16, 200422 yr I'm not really for getting Dunn though... he set a record for strike-outs this year? 593353 He also hit nearly 50 homers and his OBP was high as usual... The Reds would never let him go, they would never be that stupid. 593355 As in swing swing swing Homerun! I'm a pitchers girl who'd take a guy like JP over a big strike-out homer guy anyday.
October 16, 200422 yr Btw cut it out with calling Loria cheap. Just because he doesn't have the Yankees pocket of dough doesn't mean he's cheap. Who got us Uggie..Fox..LoDuca..Enc..Mota people when we needed them. Trust me, I know we have a small payroll but when it we really needed it he got it. Yes, I know Pudge left but we do loose quite a bit of money because of the stadium. He's trying to do the best he can with what he has to work with.. just lay off him because I'm sick of people calling him a genius and then hating him. 593356 Very few of you are mature enough to understand the point here. I object to the way negotiations have gone with Lowell, they haven't contacted in 3 weeks, the guy wants to have a say in where he is traded, they should at the very least honor that not hide behind their desks like the little bitches they are. As far as Loria, I know he doesn't have a pocket full of cash but despite the increase in attendance this season and despite the rise in season tickets he still won't increase payroll and he won't put up the 30 million and I can almost guarantee that if Lowell leaves that 'freed up money' is going to go straight into his pocket. It won't be reinvested in the team in any way whether that's a player or the stadium we won't see light of it.

We don't have many guys that can blast homeruns. So when JP and Luis get on base which is what they do best we need more power to be able to drive them home. We need more balance.
