The legislative session for the state opens 29 days from now. Thats also a huge day. By then all the local stuff should be completed. How amazing would it be to have the stadium deal signed sealed and delivered by opening day. I remember opening day 2000 and the anguish of Jeb rejecting the cruise tax. Maybe opening day 2005 will be the ultimate redemption.

I'll try to tweak the vote with my negotiating skills (i.e.-state rep in my family). I'll just get my aunt to perform a filibuster when the stadium bill comes through, and maybe sneak in a tv and dvd, so that they can watch the '03 WS DVD and recall the memories (that is, if they even like baseball).

 

I hope this thing gets done. Huizenga actually helped the team by kicking them out. Now the state knows they have to do something in order to keep the team in South Florida...
