Matt Hardy has posted the following statment on his official website's message board in regard to the negative chants towards Lita and Edge during tonight's Raw from Madison Square Garden in New York City:

 

"After just watching Lita and Edge on Raw, it's very obvious what the WWE fans feel and believe. Madison Square Garden, which has been the WWE's barometer for years about what the fans really think, let them know tonight. Matt Hardy got shafted--by a one time close friend, by a women I have given everything within me, and by a company I loved with everything I am. The "WE WANT MATT" and "YOU SCREWED MATT" show that people DO care, and that people sympathize with my terrible situation. People who have met me know that I LOVE the professional wrestling business. People who have met me know that I LOVE the people that support me. I absolutely loved MSG and all the people that were standing up for me tonight. I am 30 years old, and in the best shape physically that I have ever been in. I have more to offer the professional wrestling business than I ever have before, and I will. I refuse to lay down and die. I am like each and every one of you--I struggle for what I love and what I believe in every day. We will not be denied--THANK YOU for your support."

 

Matt Hardy also posted the following in regard to Chris Jericho's mention of Hardy's personal situation on Monday during an appearance on the Opie and Anthony Show:

 

"Chris [Jericho] has been incredibly supportive during this extremely tough time in my life, and I think very highly of him as a person and a professional. Chris is not alone in thinking this is a ****ed up situation, as the majority of the Raw and Smackdown crews feel the exact same way. I loved working for the WWE, and would have continued to give the WWE all I have to offer, but this situation is ridiculous and outrageous. If I would have been told in November of 2004 what the next five months would hold, and had to bet my life on it happening or not--I'd be dead right now."

I do think it was pretty ****ed up what they did to him. I'm sure he'll land on his feet somewhere else though and make all of the WWE execs regret their decision.
