May 2, 200521 yr -- Multiple sources in TNA have been saying that the company is on the verge of announcing a huge new TV deal in the United States. The announcement could come within the next couple weeks, however they are bound in a confidentiality agreement and cannot detail what it is to anyone yet. -- Most expect that since Spike TV has not expressed too much interest, TNA has struck a deal with WGN. WGN has been brought up in the past as the fallback plan if they couldn?t reach an agreement with Spike TV. WGN was once a ?Superstation? like TBS, however due to lack of new and original programming, they have dropped in popularity. -- It?s possible that TNA could get a great deal with airtime on WGN, meaning a Monday night primetime slot in the hour preceding WWE RAW. There is also the possibility that they could run a two hour show, with one of the hours overlapping RAW. www.wrestlingplanet.com
May 3, 200521 yr WGN owning the rights could also mean that other Tribune stations could get access to it. However, the Tribune stations have WB and FOX programming so it would mean the show would be on tape later on Monday nights. Many areas without WGN Superstation have a Tribune station instead serving them. http://www.tribune.com/ under Broadcasting menu Tribune officially has 4 superstations: WPIX in New York, WGN in Chicago, KWGN in Denver, and KTLA in Los Angeles. In Miami they own WB39 and in Boston they own WB56.
May 3, 200521 yr WWE has two TV shows that are syndicated. Afterburn and Bottom Line Just check the links above for your local station.
May 3, 200521 yr I have two WGN channels. One local and one that most people get. So odd to see wrestling on WGN.
