CapeFish Posted May 11, 2005 Share Posted May 11, 2005 Management change at FSN Florida-Sun Sports -- Jim Sarni Staff reports Posted May 11 2005 Cathy Weeden, the vice president and general manager of Sun Sports, will also take over FSN Florida as the state's two regional sports networks combine their businesses. News Corporation, the parent company of Fox Sports Networks, owns both Sun Sports and FSN Florida. Weeden replaces FSN Florida Senior Vice President and General Manager Jeff Genthner, who is exploring other opportunities within the Fox organization. "We believe these two regional sports networks will be better able to serve their varied constituents led by one management group," said Randy Freer, Chief Operating Officer, Fox Sports Networks. "At Sun Sports, Cathy has demonstrated the ability to lead and create new opportunities for the network." Sun Sports has 6.1 million subscribers in Florida.
