Some quick notes about tonight: - Good crowd for a Thursday. Lots of kids. All had a great time. - Reggie's home run was the highlight of the night (it was smoked), just as his strikeout in the 9th with the Heads down 1 was the lowlight. He can run like hell though: almost beat out the throw to 1B on a groundball to SS. - Jupiter's defense was poor, especially early on, with Bostick on the mound. - Bostick himself was not having any luck, throwing nothing but fastballs and running behind in counts. A lot of Tampa batters got on base -- a lot. It's stunning they didn't get more runs; opportune hitting just wasn't there for either team. - Brett Smith, Tampa's starter, has a very "funny" delivery. He tip-toes, then takes a little hop just as he's releasing. I found it very distracting, as I'm sure the batters he faced did also. - Tonight's best pitching performance came from Jupiter's Derek Tillman, who relieved Bostick in the 4th (I think); he was filthy. - I spoke with Angel Molina a little before and after the game; we exchanged pleasentries, talked about the homeland and stuff (he's from PR). He's very pleasent to talk to, pretty down to earth. His wife and kid were also in attendance. That's all I have for now.
