geemoney
Just found this in my local paper: "Former (Hornell) Dodgers' outfielder Brett Carroll was drafted last summer by the Florida Marlins in the 10th round and spent the rest of the season with the Jamestown Jammers of the NY-Penn League. This season, Carroll is with the Marlins Single-A affiliate in Greensboro, NC. The Grasshoppers play in the South Atlantic League. Carroll leads the team with nine home runs and is currently second on the team with 26 runs scored and third with a .294 batting average (35-119). He also has eight doubles, a triple and 19 RBI in his 34 games. The Grasshoppers are currently 23-15 and in second place in the 8-team Northern Division, two games out of firs place." The Dodgers play about a half hour from where I live and are in the NYCBL (NY Collegiate Baseball League), which is a summer league partially funded by MLB and sanctioned by the NCAA. Matter of fact, they play their games at Hornell High School, the same field I've played on in H.S. baseball games.
