Posted May 25, 200519 yr Although enc has 32 RBIs he seems to have come down to earth a bit. The niner on the other hand has been swining a hot bat whenever hes had the chance lately. I think he should get a few more starts. Especially against lefties who hes been better against during his career. Lefties such as randy wolf.
May 25, 200519 yr I say we wait just a few more, let Encarnacion get his at-bats, Jeff Conine is doing great off the bench, let's not change up the roles here, really, why fix what isn't broken?
May 25, 200519 yr Author Platooning them is a good idea. niner has been doing well not only off the bench, but also when hes had starts.
May 25, 200519 yr I miss Conine from the lineup. He's Mr. Consistent. But... Enc's fine in my book as long as he keeps his OPS over .800 (it's at .804 right now) and plays adequate defense. When Castillo gets back, that rightfield platoon could turn into a three-headed monster with the addition of Easley. Hopefully that will handled well by Jack and the three fellows.  check Enc stats with bases loaded and runners on 782705[/snapback] Are you making the argument he should pinch-hit?
