May 29, 200521 yr Ok, here's the player rankings in the entire MLB.... Catcher: Paul Lo Duca = #8 1B: Carlos Delgado = #4 2B: Luis Castillo = #26 SS: Alex Gonzalez = #19 3B: Mike Lowell = #16 LF: Miguel Cabrera = #1 CF: Juan Pierre = #17 RF: Juan Encarnacion = #5 Starting Pitchers: Dontrelle Willis = #1; Josh Beckett = #5; (that's just top 30, and this is last weeks...I assume with the additional innings pitched by Moehler, that he will be top 10) Relief Pitchers: Todd Jones = #9; Matt Perisho = #20
May 29, 200521 yr Positives: Miguel #1 :thumbup Dontrelle #1 :thumbup Who would have guessed that Encarnacion would be #5? Josh #5 :cool Todd Jones #9 unexpected, but he's making it happen! Perisho #20 :thumbup Negatives: Pierre #17 he needs to stop striking out so much and start using his speed more Castillo #26 I'm assuming this is because of his injury... Lowell #16 he's definently better, he has All-Star 3b type talent...very sad to see him slumping Neutral: Delgado #4 he really should be better, but #4 is good enough since he came from the AL and isn't familar with all the pitchers Lo Duca #8 very good and although he's been slumping as of late, he's been great overall Gonzalez #19 he's starting to swing the bat, he should be getting a better rank
May 29, 200521 yr Author #4? Should be better? This is in the entire MLB, not NL....of all the 30 1B, he's 4th. It's better than he was last season.

May 29, 200521 yr Not enough clutch RBI's for you, Marlins? 788442[/snapback] Encarnacion has been much better when it counts...look at his BA with RISP...much better than Delgado. And I didn't say that Delgado has been bad, I just mean that he hasn't been GREAT. Until a little while ago he wasn't hitting home runs and he wasn't getting clutch hits.

Atleast three times recently I can recall Delgado giving us the lead. "RUN JOE RUN" is one I'm sure all of us can remember, Delgado looks to be getting adjusted to Dolphin Stadium and picking it up.

But before then he wasn't so amazing, although he was good. He had his average up there over .300 before, but the porblem was that he wasn't hitting home runs. We need some runs from him where he does it all, and now were starting to get some of them. He hit his 9th today and it was a big one. He's now tied with Cabrera for the lead in home runs on the staff. :thumbup

He's here to drive in runs, and doubles are just as good. He wasn't "good" just because he wasn't hitting bombs to RF, he just wasn't looking too adjusted out there, due to his strikeouts. I wouldn't say his problem was that he wasn't hitting homeruns, because I'm sure that's the least of anyones worries.

And yes, we do need him to hit some home runs. We need those big 3 run homers like he hit today. We can't just have singles and doubles everytime. Those bunches of home runs have to come. We got him for his great power hitting. We didn't get him to just hit a bunch of singles and just hit for average.

I'm sure you'll find plenty other posts to spam :thumbup
