June 4, 200521 yr Friday night's starter, Nic Ungs, was barely loose Friday when he threw his final pitch ? a third strike against Chattanooga's Kyle Nichols for the second out in the top of the second. Ungs bent over and swung his arm in pain, and later was diagnosed with a slight deltoid strain. He said he may miss his next start. "I threw one pitch and felt it," Ungs said. "I threw the very next pitch and it was still there. It kind of scared me more than anything." c/o Rocky Mount Telegram
