July 9, 200521 yr NEW SMYRNA BEACH Billy Graham daughter arrested after dispute From Herald Wire Services Evangelist Billy Graham's daughter pushed and choked her husband in a Kmart parking lot, witnesses told police, leading to her arrest. Virginia Graham Foreman, 59, spent a night in jail after New Smyrna Beach police said she physically abused her husband, Chad, on July 1. She was charged with misdemeanor domestic abuse and released on her own recognizance the following day. Witness David Hill of Edgewater told police that Virginia Foreman choked and pushed her husband. ''She was mean,'' Hill told the Orlando Sentinel. ``I guess she started pushing him and grabbed him around his throat.'' Police determined that choking and pushing her husband was domestic violence and placed Foreman under arrest, against her husband's wishes. Volusia County Judge Mary Jane Henderson, who presided over Foreman's first appearance hearing, said Chad Foreman told police that witnesses had ``just misunderstood what was going on between them.'' No one answered the phone at the couple's home on Friday. Billy Graham, famous for five decades for his crusades and his friendships with presidents, concluded a three-day revival meeting in New York City last month that he indicated would be his last.
