Last night's edition of WWE SmackDown! scored a 3.1 broadcast rating, according to Nielsen Media Research. That is down just a little bit from recent weeks.

This weekend will be Triple H's last weekend on the road for a little while. He'll be working the RAW brand house shows in a singles match against Shawn Michaels tonight, and a tag match with Ric Flair against Michaels and Kane on Saturday.

TNA will make their decision today as to whether or not Matt Hardy will do a one-time appearance at their No Surrender pay-per view this Sunday. WWE has officially agreed to allow Hardy to work the show in an unexplained run-in type role. Up until today, TNA has not okayed the appearance.

Tonight will be the first arena type show from OVW booked by Paul Heyman at Six Flags in Louisville, which will also include Jim Cornette's final appearance with the company.

Matt Hardy was not "mingling" backstage at RAW on Monday night in East Rutherford, NJ. The plan for his surprise attack on Edge backstage on RAW was not common knowledge among many wrestlers. After the planned segment took place where he was dragged out by security, Hardy left the arena right away and never returned. Says one WWE source, "He came in, did his thing, and left."

There are still said to be some mixed feelings among many as to when Hardy had agreed to return to WWE. Some feel a deal was agreed on before the June 20th edition of RAW where Hardy's music was played during a wedding segment involving Edge and Lita. The feeling is that Vince McMahon wouldn't have done that with the risk of Hardy still signing with TNA. One WWE wrestler did add to that theory, adding, "Vince seems like he's gone so far off his rocker lately, that maybe it's now in character for him to act out of character. He might be so cocky that he doesn't see TNA as competition and didn't worry at all that Hardy could be of much help to them."

As we reported yesterday, WWE has already okayed a run-in by Hardy at TNA's No Surrender PPV this Sunday in Orlando, FL. A decision was expected by yesterday as to whether or not this would take place as TNA has yet to okay it as of Friday. Even though an appearance by Hardy at TNA's PPV tomorrow would generate even more buzz about this situation and continue to push his "shoot-like" return, some TNA wrestlers feel it wouldn't be right for a WWE contracted wrestler to appear on a TNA show since they are seen as the competition. Either way, we will continue to cover this situation and have a full report from Hardy's appearance at the Ring of Honor event tonight in Woodbridge, CT.

It would make absolute zero sense to have Hardy at your ppv. Fans would expect him to be a main part of the storylines and him doing a suprise run would do nothing for buyrates while you have to pay the guy for basically doing nothing for your company.

What it would add, however, would be the element of unpredicibility for both companies. The the non smarks would really be wanting to know what's going on.

From the news that WWE talked to TNA about using guys for the ECW PPV and now WWE letting Matt make a run-in on a TNA PPV.....maybe Vince doesn't truly see TNA as big enough to be "compeition"? Or has Vince learned that he needs competition and working together with someone he doesn't hate (*cough*Turner*cough*) is still possible.

The following is from TNAWrestling.com:

On Sunday morning, it was reported across the internet that WWE star Matt Hardy would be appearing at tonight's "No Surrender" Pay-Per-View.

TNA Wrestling would like to officially address this rumor as totally false.

In an effort to further his own agenda, Hardy told several people last night he would be traveling to Orlando for "No Surrender"

TNA Wrestling would like to let our fans know this is not the case and he will not be appearing.

As noted earlier, Matt Hardy was expected to travel to Orlando, FL today to meet with TNA officials and a decision was to be made at that point.
