August 18, 200520 yr The Texas Rangers recalled first baseman Adrian Gonzalez from Triple-A Oklahoma on Thursday and optioned right-hander Scott Feldman back to Double-A Frisco. Gonzalez hit .229 with three homers and six RBIs in 13 games this season with the Rangers. In 84 games at Oklahoma, he hit .338 with 18 homers and 65 RBI. Gonzalez was the first overall pick in the 2000 draft by the Florida Marlins and traded to Texas with two other minor leaguers in July 2003 in the deal that sent closer Ugueth Urbina to the Marlins. He made his major league debut with the Rangers in 2004, hitting .238 (10-for-42) with one homer and seven RBI in 16 games. Feldman did not appear in either of two games after having his contract purchased by the Rangers from Frisco, where he was 1-2 with a 2.54 ERA and 13 saves in 42 relief outings. Source: AP
