August 14, 200323 yr TM PITCHERS IP H R ER BB K ERA FLA D.Bautista (L,4-3) 2.2 3 8 0 6 5 3.32 8 runs.... 0 earned.... crappy D eh? It wasn't just crappy D. If they made the error with 2 outs in an inning, then even if he lets up 5 grand slams and walks 10 in the inning, it won't count as an ER.... the ER stat doesn't make sense some times....
August 14, 200323 yr Damn. He got roughed up! But that happens to every pitcher. How did he get roughed up if he allowed 0 ER ?
August 14, 200323 yr How did he get roughed up if he allowed 0 ER ? Because he gave up 9 baserunners in 2.2 innings.
August 14, 200323 yr Because he gave up 9 baserunners in 2.2 innings. those runs would have probably all been earned as well, or at least most of them, but since there was most likely an error with 2 outs and the inning was supposed to be over, the runs were unearned.
