I have to do this video project for school and it is due in 2 weeks. So we have some footage from a video camera that we want to download from the camera to the computer so we can edit it. So i hook the camera up to the computer with a firewire cable into the fire wire port. then i go into windows movie maker and i click capture video, and then it says that a video device could not be detected. and yes i turned the camera on. So i think it is a software problem. So any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
