minor league update

First off its awesome that we broke our losing streak and I attribute that win directly to my minor league update

***Albuquerque***

-RHP Jason Grilli has pitched decently since his return to AAA, but his K/BB totals are disturbing (36/29). His start last night he went (6IP, 5H, 2ER, 2BB, 5K, 0HR). He might still be recovering from injury, so this could be a more accurate indication of his real stuff. He only has one more regular season start and then the playoffs begin.

-Blaine Neal picked up save #20 with a scoreless 10th (1IP, 1BB, 1K) (ERA 2.51)

-Gerald Williams hit his 13th homer, which was the game winner in the 10th and was of the 3-run variety. In 300 ABs hes going at a clip of .355 .528 Washed up? I think he should get a shot somewhere if not Florida...I would have taken him over Harris...we are getting him for free I think, because the Cubs released him...am I wrong? Thats probably the motivation for picking him up.

-3B/2B Matt Erickson is becoming one of my favorites at Albuquerque this season. More suited for 2B because of his lack of power. Last night he went (2-4, BB) raising his season totals to .326avg .429OBP (wow) .428SLG I want to see this guy in spring training, I'd take Hooper now because he has a great arm.

**Carolina**

-Regain 1st place with a win

-LHP Todd Moser got the win (7.1IP, 8H, 3ER, 1BB, 3K) Just back from injury I believe. He dominated Jupiter, so lets see what he does in his next starts.

-LF Chris Aguila went (3-4, 2 2B, 1 3B, BB) raising his average to .321

**Jupiter**

-Top prospect Lincoln Holdzkom was roughed up in the loss (.1IP, 2H, 3ER, 2BB, 1K) but still has not allowed a homer the entire season.

-CF Eric Reed had 2 hits and stole 2 bases

*Greensboro*

-Lost their 9th straight game

-Only good news here is Casey Blalock continues to dominate (1IP, 1K)

*Jamestown*

-High draft pick Jai Miller got his first pro hit and went 1-4, double

-1B Ryan Bear continues to keep the hot stick (2-4, double, BB, SB)

Thats a wrap...no GCL game was played last night....a side note though...Juan Lindsey had 3 hits 2 nights ago.
