February 25, 200620 yr in a way im kind of glad hes gone. No one in florida really ripped on him like hes going to get it in boston. Imagine what theyre going to do to him if he gets a blister. Lets see if he can live up to his potential beacuse thats all he was here was potential. Clutch performances during the 2003 playoffs and World Series, good, solid pitching pre-2005 and finally a very good season, despite a shoulder injury and another blister, in 2005 and you say he was only potential for the Marlins? I'd agree that he was held back from pitching to his full potential because of injuries, but what you wrote is going overboard. I have a feeling 2006 will be his breakout year and think 2005 could have been had it not been for injuries. Josh commented earlier this month that the Marlins pushed him hard before spring training last season, having him throw 14 bullpen sessions to prepare him for a four-man rotation, and that may have contributed to his injuries later in the season. The Red Sox have gone easier on Josh during pre-spring training workouts. Josh said, "Things are different around here. They want us to kind of ease into it.? (per a Feb.17 article in the Boston Herald). Hopefully that will pay dividends as the season progresses.
