March 24, 200620 yr Is he really an MVP candidate, or just another hyped player? Personally, I think he's done enough to win the MVP, although I know he won't get the votes. Everyone loves the underdog whitey too much to pass it up again.

How do we know that Marion and the others haven't made him look good? I'm not taking anything away from Nash, but it's hard to judge who made who better... Nash was nothing special in Dallas--likewise for Phoenix before Nash...If Nash was really that good, why wasn't Dallas winning the West or seriously contending?

Dallas couldn't play defense and before Nash came along, Marion was just a good player, but Nash transformed him into a beast and Diaw was a nobody in Atlanta, look at him now.
