April 6, 200620 yr ANAHEIM, Calif. ? (AP) ? The New York Yankees claimed catcher Koyie Hill off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday. New York, which already is carrying three catchers, must make a roster move when Hill reports to the team. If Hill is put on the 25-man active roster, Wil Nieves appears likely to lose his spot. Hill hit .218 with six RBIs for Arizona last season and was designated for assignment last weekend. To make room on the Yankees' 40-man roster, right-hander Jorge DePaula was sent outright to Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday.
