April 27, 200619 yr Dayn Perry has never let the truth get in the way of his making a deadline. His basic premise is false. Finley sold players for cash, that was why Kuhn stopped the transactions, and rightfully so, and that is not the case here at all. Further his continuing his fiction as it regards the Montreal franchise are nothing short of scurrilous, especially in the face of both arbitrator and court findings, yet he fearlessly repeats them over and over as if repeating them often enough will turn lies into truth. In light of Admin Beinfest's comments over the last two days, one has a choice, believe Perry or believe Beinfest. Obviously I chose the latter. Further Perry ignores the fact that at this juncture, not a penny of "taxpayer dollars" has been commited, or more importantly asked for, to build a new stadium for the Marlins, or that Loria's contribution dwarfs what the county would draw from tourist taxes earmarked for projects like this. Perry will continue to peddle his falsehoods as long as some managing editor agrees to pay him and that's the shame of the web. The ever growing need for content that creates a Dayn Perry after failing miserably as a beat reporter for a major daily, means more of the same, and more often.
