May 7, 200620 yr In case you've missed it, 15 laps to go and caution has just come out. Dale Jr leads the way, but Kevin Harvick has lead a career amount of laps tonight and is looking for that final pass with only a few laps to go. Should be a great finish! :thumbup
May 7, 200620 yr Author Caution is out again with 10 to go due to Burton spinning out and crashing into the wall. Dale Jr still leads with Denny Hamlin right behind him... YES!!! Dale Jr WINS!!!!
May 7, 200620 yr Author Damn this is the first Richmond Race I didn't go to since fall of 2003. Are you going to go to the fall race?
May 7, 200620 yr Damn this is the first Richmond Race I didn't go to since fall of 2003. Are you going to go to the fall race? It depends.... I had connections to tickets through a buddy's wife.... and they got divorced. It's unlikely but you never know. You going?

However I have to save up this year to propose to my gf, so no such luck for awhile.

I have some secrets about parking and how to get there, if you ever go.

I have some secrets about parking and how to get there, if you ever go. Lucky. I went to the California race this season. You don't pay for parking but it's a real pain to get in and out of. One two lane street that goes in and out of in the middle of nowhere in a tiny town called Fontana in between Los Angeles and San Diego. Good racing, there though. One of my favorite tracks and a great place to see a race. Richmond, too. I'd love to see a race at Richmond. Awesome to see Junior get out of his no win slump. He'll be in the chase this year, for sure.
May 8, 200620 yr Another track you really should see a race at.... Martinsville. Slowest track on the circuit, but damn, it's quality. I've only been once but it was awesome.
May 8, 200620 yr Martinsville is a great place to see race and there really isn't a bad seat in the house either
May 8, 200620 yr How come the winning driver can't pound some Crown Royal after race like they do with Coke or Pepsi or Gatorade?
May 8, 200620 yr Author The only other track I definately want to go see and soon is Bristol. The racing there live must be awesome, but I've heard its nearly impossible to get tickets to either the spring or fall race. How come the winning driver can't pound some Crown Royal after race like they do with Coke or Pepsi or Gatorade? Well because most of the people that drink down the Coke, Pepsi or Gatorade in Victory Lane is sponsered by them. Plus since Budweiser is Dale Jr's primary sponser, I don't think it would have been such a hot idea to gulp down some Crown Royal :mischief

I live 2 hours away from the track, but have only went to one race. :confused

May 9, 200620 yr Kind of on a side note. Anyone thinking about going to a track should definitely check out this site: http://www.laidbackracing.com/ They have an incredible amount of first hand information on the tracks they've been to. Some good stuff there. Also, I must get to Bristol soon. I hope with my internship that will be one of the tracks I go to. Dover is another place I really want to see a race. And all you 21 year olds make sure you sign up for the "Your Name here" 400 on their website. That would be so badass to have a race named after you.
