Harvey got off to a hot start for the Grasshoppers, batting as high as .345 on April 22, but settled into a slump that saw his average drop to .229 at the beginning of last week. But the right fielder turned that around this week. He led the Grasshoppers to a 6-1 week, including his two-homer, four-RBI performance in their 12-2 win over Asheville on Tuesday. After getting his swing back this week, Harvey's batting average stands at .254. "

 

 

Ungs - PCL pitcher of the week

Ungs' 2-0 week was highlighted by his complete-game, four-hit, shutout against Tacoma last Monday. He earned another win for first-place Albuquerque on Saturday when he gave up one run on six hits in seven innings against Las Vegas. The right-hander improved to 6-2 on the season with a 2.43 ERA. "

 

 

Aaron Thompson - SAL pitcher of the week

Thompson helped the Grasshoppers to a 6-1 week with two wins of his own. The left-hander dominated Kannapolis on Sunday, shutting out the Intimidators through seven innings and giving up just four hits while striking out nine. Thompson pitched well earlier in the week as well, allowing just one run on five hits in six innings against Asheville. The two wins improved Thompson to 4-2 on the season and lowered his ERA to 2.84."

Harvey added three hits and hit number 9 this afternoon.

 

Strangely enough all 9 of his homers have come at First Horizon Ballpark.
