Miguel Cabrera's slump

He's now 1-for-16 since being hit by that pitch in NY. At the time, his average was .340; now it's down to .326.


Alternately, you could observe that he's 2-for-26 since our 18-run game in Washington (during which he was hitting .348), 1-for-13 since getting into a scuffle with Scott Olsen, and 1-for-11 since participating in the home run derby.


So, can we make anything out of any of this? Is there something going on with him at the plate? Or is the 'slump' merely a fluke circumstance?
