NLCS Pitching Probables Speculation

Featured Replies

So I'm thinking we're going to get this:

Game 1 - Becket v. Zambrano

Game 2 - Redman v. Prior

Game 3 - Penny v. Wood

Game 4 - Willis v. Clement

Game 5 - Becket v. Zambrano

Game 6 - Redman v. Prior

Game 7 - Penny v. Wood

Only variables would seem to be if we decide not to split the lefties. I think we should if for no other reason than to make sure Penny is our game 7 guy. Willis should stay at 4 and work out of the pen as well. For the Cubs I guess they could bring prior on 3 days rest in game one but that would be border-line insane. Things setup well for them with Wood as the Game 7 starter.

I like how things shape up considering what we could have got. We have to have two wins from Becket.

Redman has proved hes going to come up big. Willis is pitching again, and Penny is due for a good game as long as its a night start. And Beckett is a no-brainer.

We have 2 "automatics" right now Beckett and Redman so we are in good shape.

I wish I shared your optimism about Redman being automatic. I think he's pitching good he's going to draw Wood or Prior. Realistically Becket and Willis have to be near flawless. Redman and Penny have to keep us in it.

I think with our speed and the ability to pressure the defense that comes with it we're going to get atleast one game from Prior and Wood.
