First off I would like to say I try to avoid watching the games beings that the announcers are usually anti-Marlins and I become a nervous wreck and yell at the TV for 3 hours or so. Not just in the post season throughout the whole year, I can barely enjoy watching my favorite team play because I get sooo sooo I can't even describe my feelings. When the Marlins play the cubs multiply that by 50 because I HATE THEM WITH A PASSION. here is my story

NLCS Game 1

LOVE, SWEAT, and chew?

Well last night I was watching the game with my father, and the Cubs score 4 runs in the bottom of the 1st, and Beckett looks like poop on a stick. I go down stairs to my room so I can get away from everyone so I can let my frustrations out without ruining the night of everyone in my house. Well I make it downstairs and turn on the game and it was the bottom of the second.

During the commercial break I put in a dip (skoal) to try to calm my nerves a little bit. Well we all know what happend. Then in the top of the 6th the Marlins add another one and SeaBass fails to get the run in...no matter I think its almost time for the pen. Im relaxed thinking that the Cubs have lost allready. BANG the fake SeaBass makes me look for my dog so that I can beat him (joke I wouldn't beat my dog.)

I put in another dip because once again Im on pins and needles my armpits resemble the wetlands Florida is famous for, by this time my fiance is about to fall asleep and she refuses to hug me because my pits are totally sweated out and my beard has skoal intertwined in the whiskers, she walks out of my insane night.

Right after she leaves Pudges get his RBI's I run up stairs wake up my parents and say how its in the bag the Scrubs loose.

I take out my dip and get ready for bed. I no sooner lay down to see a foul ball called far. Though I argue it was barely half heartedly, for the Marlins won the game 1 out a runner on second whos run doesn't matter and Ugeth pitching. 2 outs my eyes start to close while visions of sobbing cub fans dance through my hed I hear Al Leiter say now don't throw that cut back slider to Sosa...crack...I said not to through that pitch OH MY! Instantly I yell at the TV about that dang foul ball. This game is over and SOSA never bats I say.

Oce again I sit up hunt for my can notice its nearly empty so I dig in the garbage to find some old cans...I combine Skoal Wintergreen, Mint, and the new Vanilla blend for some relaxation, as I try to fight off the disgusting taste in my stomache, head, heart, and mouth. Only the later being from the evil concoction in my taste buds. I watch nothing happens in the tenth during the commercials I start to wander who will lead off and I realize that Lowell the Mighty Hulk is still on the bench forgotten, but not gone.

I instantly remember my peers at work who happen to all be Cubs fans saying how the Marlins should just give up and give us Lowell...I say Ill take that trade for Wood and Prior. I think how awesome it would be if it was Lowell who hit and if he hit a homer. Then I snapped back in reality as I watched Lowell bat...Oh yeah thats right he has 32 dingers, but hit like 29 in the 1st half. Sadly I sat and stared at the TV expecting to see strike three called and Lowell drag his bat back to the dug-out. but all is not lost, I thought, the top of the order will be up if only we can get Pudge up then all bets....LOWELL HITS A LONG FLY BALL...Loftons got...WAY BACK...he's camped under it no way is that pop up getting out...HOMERUN MIKE LOWELL. "I called it," I screamed as I vigoriously pump my fists in the air as if I did something, then it hits me...I did. I was having a dip everytime the Marlins scored and not having one everytime the Cubs scored. Needless to say I have a full can for tonights game. I won't be making the same mistake twice... :mischief2
