I went over to the Tennis Complex over there in Crandon Park this morning to watch a couple of the qualifying matches for the tournament. Most notably Guillermo Canas (who ended Federer's 41 match win streak last week) defeating Brendan Evans in straight sets, 6-4 6-4. Ive never been to a live tennis match and I can honestly say it was quite an awesome experience over there in Key Biscayne. The weather was gorgeous, the birds were chirping, and there was free roaming around the grounds to watch any match. It's going on through April 1st, and Federer makes his debut this Saturday.

 

I plan on catching a few more matches, obviously better ones as the days roll by, and was wondering if anyone was heading over there as well. It's well worth the ticket price ($20-$50).

Nadal has a first round bye, so he might not play till Friday or Saturday. I'm guessing.

Gah, I still need to scrounge/raise 40 bucks if I wanna go, I got a ride lined up... I just need cash >_>

The Tournament actually starts today. Playing today are Brazilian lice magnet and fan favorite Gustavo "Guga" Kuerten, Chilean Nicolas Massu, Argentinean teen phenom Juan Martin Del Potro, Swede Thomas Johansson, and Spaniard Alberto Martin, among other people no one knows.
