Sanchez playing catch: Still far from a return

Featured Replies

Hey sorry if this has been brought up, but I didn't see it anywhere and a few people in other threads were asking about Anibal.

You have to scroll down, but here is the excerpt.

Sanchez throwing: Anibal Sanchez is playing catch, but the right-hander remains a ways away from being ready to pitch again.

The Marlins optioned Sanchez to Triple-A on May 4. Shortly afterwards, the 23-year-old said that his right shoulder was sore and he went on the Minor League disabled list.

For now, he is doing basic throwing and catching, but nothing more. Sanchez is not expected back until after the All-Star break
