July 1, 200719 yr Double Indemnity (1944) and Sunset Boulevard (1950) Both films of Billy Wilder. The former possibly my favorite movie ever. Such a great and unique genre (some would argue it's a sub-genre for crime films). Too bad this genre is all but extinct (Sin City being the notable exception).
July 1, 200719 yr Both of those movies are absolutely fantastic. Two of my all-time favorites and definitely some of the finest films in an amazing and underappreciated genre or sub-genre.
