Posted October 18, 200321 yr Getting To and From the Stadium Park & Ride: Park & Ride service begins three hours before the start of the game and ends one-hour after the conclusion of the game. Miami-Dade Transit's Park & Ride schedule allows ample time for sport fans to be seated by the start of the game despite slight delays due to enhanced security measures at the stadium. The Park & Ride fares (roundtrip) and sites are: Hialeah Metrorail station $ 7 Dadeland North Metrorail station $ 7 Tamiami Park Metrobus terminal (117 Ave. & SW 24 Street, by batting cages) $ 7 Miami Beach at 41 Street parking lot $ 7 Golden Glades interchange $ 4 For more information, call 305-770-3131. Tri-Rail to the Stadium: South Florida Regional Transportation Authority/Tri-Rail is running additional service this weekend so fans can take the "T-Train" to see the "D-Train" and all of South Florida's newest sports heroes. Extra trains will operate for the Marlins playoff series Friday, Saturday and if necessary, Sunday. Late evening northbound trains will depart the Golden Glades Station one hour after the conclusion of each game. Fans traveling southbound to Friday's game are encouraged to take trains P619, departing Mangonia Park at 3:56 PM and arriving Golden Glades at 5:29 PM, or P621, departing Mangonia Park at 4:56 PM and arriving Golden Glades at 6:29 PM. A special southbound train will operate on Saturday, departing Mangonia Park at 3:56 PM and arriving Golden Glades at 5:29 PM. If a 5th game is necessary on Sunday, SFRTA/Tri-Rail will run a southbound train departing Mangonia Park at 12:56 PM and arriving Golden Glades at 2:29 PM. Game times are Friday at 8:00 PM, Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 4:00 PM. Miami-Dade Transit (MDT) shuttle buses will connect SFRTA/Tri-Rail passengers between the Golden Glades Park & Ride and Pro Player Stadium. Shuttle buses begin operations two hours in advance of the start of a game and run until game time. Service begins again at the completion of the game and runs for one hour. Regular Tri-Rail fares will apply, including the weekend round trip fare of $4 for adults and $2 for senior citizens, students, and disabled passengers. The fare for the round trip MDT shuttle bus is $4. Please assist bus drivers by having exact change, if possible. Coolers and/or open containers are prohibited.
