The Braves' offer was a one-year proposal for about $7 million, and might be almost enough to sign the 41-year-old former Braves left-hander. "We did make an offer and they said they would consider it over the weekend," Braves general manager Frank Wren said, a few hours before agent Gregg Clifton sent a counterproposal to the team. It was unclear if the sides were going to continue to negotiate Friday night, but a deal sounds imminent. "Hopefully by tomorrow, I think it's a good possibility," Clifton said. Do it! :notworthy i would really think you hated him after what he did the last day of the season... :| but anyway, i've been waiting for this announcement for quite a while. i hope glavine isn't reverting or something. because i think he has one decent year left. now we'll have two of the 90's aces back on our team, but it makes our rotation much older.
November 17, 200718 yr Author What type free agent is Glavine? Type A Great deal for the Mets. Now this is just assuming. Lo Duca, Green and Castillo sign elsewhere before Dec 1st. Mets would have 2 first round picks 4 sandwich picks :o If we trade most of our farm for a pitcher or something we could get some talent back at least.
